Heather M. Maranges, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Social Psychology at Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL). Heath received her doctorate in experimental Social and Personality Psychology from Florida State University and was awarded the Horizon Postdoctoral Fellowship for interdisciplinary work at Concordia University (Montreal, QC) before leading research on moral character at Wake Forest University (Winston Salem, NC) and on forgiveness at Florida State University. Heath seeks to understand what facilitates personal well-being, cooperation, and morality. In particular, she studies the nature and implications of self-control, early developmental ecologies, and bias for individual and group flourishing.
