Our Mission

To elucidate how individuals’ character, social connections, and contexts shape their morality.

We do the rigorous basic research, data analyses, and dissemination necessary to inform interventions that are likely to work.

That is, to increase our citizens’ moral character (virtues such as honesty, humility, and generosity), decisions and behaviors, we have to first establish what really promotes prosociality versus antisociality.
